Defining Lawfare

“Lawfare” is a modern term that combines law and warfare. It generally means using the law (or legal systems) as a weapon to damage, control, or delegitimise an opponent. Instead of fighting with guns or armies, the battle is fought through courts, regulations, tribunals, or other legal mechanisms.
